“The Colour Thief” is a short film I helped to create, along with the 2018 cohort, whilst completing my Masters of Animation and Visualization at the Animal Logic Academy.
I worked as a Pipeline TD for the majority of the production, dipping slightly into the creation of a Virtual Camera for a week or two of production.
During the production I worked alongside Animal Logic Academy staff members Daniel Flood, Diego Garcia Huerta, and fellow student Wen Tan to create “Turret” a soon to be open sourced pipeline tool which allows Shotgun and its python API Tank to talk with USD, Katana, and other existing pipeline tools.
